Julia Wolf was awarded the Robert Gernhardt Prize 2018 for her new novel project
For her new novel project »Old Girls« Julia wolf was awarded the notable Robert Gernhardt Prize 2018. »Old Girls« is the third part of a trilogy, in 2015 the FVA published her debut »Everything Is Now«, followed by the highly acclaimed and prize-winning novel »Walter Nowak Won't Get Up« in 2017.
The jury of the Robert Gernhardt Prize: Julia Wolf is a language artist (...). Her protagonists are unreflecting, unregenerate and leading an unspectacular life. Nevertheless, the author succeds in captivitaing the reader with her linguistically concise ›soul journeys‹. Her latest novel project is a successful mixture of distance and warm-heartedness.
The award includes a prize money of 12.000 €, the prize giving ceremony will take place 28 August 2018 in Frankfurt on the Main.
